4Great mixer but noisier than the DJM-800
By David G
Great mixer which significantly improves upon the DJM-800 in many ways in terms of the built-in effects, the Pro DJ Link integration, and of course the touchscreen which can be used for a variety of effects and as a MIDI controller. There is one thing that people need to know about the DJM-900NXS and DJM-2000 however. These mixers are much more noisy than the DJM-800. If you just connect the XLR outputs to some studio monitors there is significant audible white noise - even with the master volume and all input channels at zero. I was very surprised to discover this. In sharp contrast, the DJM-800's output noise floor is basically totally inaudible - easily 15 dB lower. So, for studio use it looks like I'm stuck with my trusty old DJM-800 for the moment. And FYI the master attenuation setting on both the 900 and 2000 make no difference in the output noise level, and I did this test in controlled conditions, DJM-800 hooked up only to power and XLR outs (going to Tannoy Reveal active studio monitors), all mixer gains at zero, then tried the same exact thing with the DJM-900NXS and the DJM-2000. With the 800 you hear literally nothing, but with the 900/2000 the white noise, though fairly quiet, is loud enough that it is simply not acceptable for a recording studio listening environment. This review should not be taken to imply that the 900 or 2000 are not suitable for club use, they indeed are the best mixers out there for a club environment - where due to a much higher ambient noise level you'd never notice the higher noisefloor. But if anyone is looking at these and thinking they might also be great in a music studio (especially since they have an integrated multichannel 24-bit USB 2.0 audio interface), save yourself the trouble and stick with the DJM-800 or another mixer which is known to have an extremely low noise floor.

5A great mixer, but wait on price
By bruiserbox
I love this mixer. It's def next gen design. I kind of thinking of it like the Korg Zero 8 if it had a baby with Pioneer's DJM 800. I've only had 2 problems with it:a. Price. There's no reason why anyone should be charging you more than $2500 for this piece of equipment. There's a demand/supply problem right now (Aug 2010) but still, this isn't a freaking Wii. Get a life scalpers. I kind of think $2500 is a bit much to ask for in crappy economic times (especially for DJ gear) but I guess I didn't mind it too much in the end.b. It's not a piece of tech to not rehearse with. I know a lot of DJs who are frankly lazy and don't rehearse their gear. This is a piece you want to screw around with because like the EFX1000, theres TONS of stuff it does that isn't even in the feature set in the manual. In many ways it lets you do things even Traktor or Serato don't offer. The sampler is worth the price alone. The effects are totally robust. It's stable as a tank. But still most vids I've seen online and most DJs I've seen using it don't really use even 10% of the features so it makes me wonder why they paid $2500 for it and didn't just get a great mixer for half the price. My one potential gripe is that I don't like people playing with it. The touch screen especially, I'm kind of nervous might give out one day so I don't really want anyone on it (for right now) whereas with some of my other gearI like to tag team and collaborate. This isn't the kind of piece I feel as confident about even though the build is very high quality.

5Excellent mixer for beginners and not so beginners...
By Allan
This mixer is a great piece of equipment! Solid structure, exceptional sound output and it really let's you feel it's great quality with it's great sound output. It has four built in effects that are sober but really useful and professional when mixing. The 3 band equalizer allows you to decrease (even to kill) or increase individually the highs, mids and lows, allowing you to perform really seamless mashups and smooth transitions between beats. Also, the mixer has an Auxiliary/Mic input wich allows you to connect a microphone or component and treat the incoming sound with all the available effects. But, this mixer's killer feature is the recording feature which allows you to record any detail of your performance to a USB connected to the mixer into a high quality .wav format file, making it really easy to distribute your mixes and even to give yourself a little feedback of your performance by listening to your own mixes to discover your pros and cons.Summarizing, this mixer is highly recommended for every DJ, no matter if you are a beginner or a pro, you will find in this mixer a powerful tool for improving your skills and your bussiness.

5i got it for one reason 1!!!!!!
By david
i had a list of mixers i wanted to get, but they all had one thing in common. you needed to use RCA cables to the laptop / computer + program(audacity) to record your live sets.with djm350 it has a usb recorder, you put the usb stick in, and click record simple. it works perfect, this product will work for me because 1. i'm using it to beatmatch and the setup will be with two turntables/vinyls 2. i won't be using effects because i'm not a fan of effects or care for it. i mainly bought it because it was hard to find another mixer that has a usb recorder.also you can hook the mixer to a laptop and etc but i dont care for digital but thought i'd mention it.

5Excellent CDJ
By Allan
An excellent digital turntable. It has a USB port which allows you to carry your music in USB sticks for greater mobility and in addition to this, the CDJ-350 is totally rekordbox compatible so you can use it to organize your music library for each peroformance. You can create a loop with the in and out buttons and cut them into 1/2, 1/4, 1/8 etc. of a loop. It can be used as a midi controller in conjuction with any dj software of your liking like traktor or virtual dj (this are the ones I have tested). With it's vinyl mode, you can use the turntable for scratching, although if this is the main skill you use in your performances, I would highly recommend to evaluate other options, cause the jogwheel is a little smaller than the CDJ 800, 850, 900 and so on... But it has the same feel as the jogwheel of the CDJ 400 so I can tell you, scratching is harder but not impossible. Additional to all this, you can create playlists on the go, saving valuable time when on the stage trying to search your beats in a big library which can be read from a CD/CD-RW, a USB stick or directly from a laptop with DJ software. The display is really helpful when beatmatching with a squence step graphic that shows visually and accuratelly each beat of the song. Last but not least a love it or hate it feature: The BPM lock, which allows you to set a master tempo so you don't have to adjust the platter and the pitch slider to beat match, this is a really controversial feature since some think that this cuts the escence of Djing and some others think that this is the result of the advance of technology and embrace it... Either way, the good news is that this turntable even when it has the BPM lock feature it has the pitch slider and the jogwheel as well so you have the leave it or take it option here.In my opinion, this CDJ-350 is better than the 400 and others in it's range for two main reasons:1) The compatibility with rekordbox. And by this I really mean with all dj software in general, because this feature allows you to have Pioneer's technology that has been strictly reserved for the CDJ-900 and the CDJ-2000 until now, and at a more than reasonable price, this means that when you are ready to upgrade your gear you will be more than familiarized with a more complex setup, giving you the upper hand with the learning curve.2) Even when you can find in the market other digital players with similar features for lower prices, I think that buying this one is a great deal when you stop and think about quality, of course that if you take good care of your equipment no matter the brand it is likely to last for years, but with this equipment you have that extra confidence that is peak technology and durability, not to mention a world standard.Hope this helps!

Cuisinart EPC-1200PC 6-Quart Electric Pressure Cooker, Brushed Stainless and Matte Black - Club Model Product Description:

  • 6-quart electric pressure cooker reduces cooking times by 70 percent
  • Push-button controls; easy-to-read digital display; precision thermostat
  • Versatile Settings for pressure cooking, browning, simmering, sauteing, and warming
  • Timer; cool-touch handles; nonstick dishwasher-safe cooking pot and trivet
  • Lid stays locked until pressure is released. 3-YEAR MANUFACTURER WARRANTY.

Product Description

Reduce time spent in the kitchen preparing meals with the help of this 6-quart electric pressure cooker--it cuts cooking times up to 70-percent when compared to traditional stovetop cooking methods. The unit traps steam inside, which builds up pressure to create hotter temperatures, and its tight seal locks in heat, moisture, and flavor, as well as vitamins and minerals for exceptionally healthy, great-tasting meals like soup, chili, and other one-dish entrees. It also works well for cheesecake and custard, because dessert should never be left off the menu. The unit's push-button controls and easy-to-read digital display eliminate guesswork, while its precision digital thermostat regulates temperatures. Choose from preprogrammed settings for high- or low-pressure cooking, browning, simmering, sauteing, and warming. For safety, the cooker must be fully locked for pressure to build, and it will remain locked until the pressure inside drops to zero. Other highlights include a 99-minute timer with an LED countdown display, cool-touch side handles, and a nonstick cooking pot that cleans up easily by hand or in the dishwasher. A dishwasher-safe trivet also comes included. Housed in brushed stainless steel, the 1000-watt pressure cooker measures 12-1/5 by 12-1/5 by 13-1/5 inches and carries a three-year limited warranty.

5Great product!!
By Christie
I bought the Cuisinart 6 quart electric pressure cooker after reading many reviews and researching different options (stove top vs electric). I was a little wary about getting a pressure cooker because I had never used one, and the there are stories of pressure cookers exploding from the first generation of pressure cookers in the 1940's. Everything that I have read says that all of todays cookers are much safer, but because I tend to be very cautious I went with the electric model because of the added safety features. The lid locks into place and will not open until the pressure has been properly released. I was given the book: The Pressure Cooker Cookbook by Toula Patsalis as a gift. I used this book as one of my main guides in choosing a cooker. There is a whole chapter devoted to picking out a pressure cooker, and the recipes are top notch. I would highly recommend this book to anyone buying a pressure cooker. This model had great reviews and was a good price on Amazon, so I decided to give it a try, and boy am I glad that I did! This very easy to work, a snap to clean up, and the food! All of the foods that I have made in this have turned out excellent. I love the browning and saute functions, it allows me to have just one pot to clean at the end. The non-stick coating cleans up easily. I also like the timer function, I can set my desired pressure level, set the time and I am ready. Once it reaches my desired level of pressure it starts to count down, when it is finished, it beeps to alert me and then automatically sets itself to keep warm. It couldn't be easier. Food really does take 50 - 70% less time to make in a pressure cooker. I have been making amazing homemade soups in about 30 minutes. My family loves this cooker as much as I do! The only drawback to this cooker is that it only has two levels of pressure to choose from: low or high. Many recipes that I have tried call to maintain medium pressure. I have made many recipes, and have just been using the high pressure level and everything has turned out wonderfully, it would just be nice to have the option of cooking at a medium pressure level.Overall I think this is a great product. It is easy to use, easy to clean up and the ability to make amazing homemade soups and other meals in a fraction of the time it used to take is icing on the cake.

5Not only a Pressure Cooker, but a great Stock Pot
By G. Hearn
When I purchased my pressure cooker, I was quite the "novice". Like others, I had seen my grandmother use one when I was a child. . . but my mother was always very afraid of pressure cookers and warned me that I would "die" if I ever used one. Friends of my parents had one and cooked chili in it once, and it "exploded" and chili was everywhere. So I just never bothered. Then I came across this one.A couple of things I didn't know and learned after I received the item. First, you can only fill it from 50 - 60% full, depending upon what you're making. So if you're going to use the pressure cooker then though it says that it's a 6-quart, you can really only cook 3 - 4 quarts. But here's the really great thing that I learned, and I don't see this in the book or anything. It's not only a pressure cooker. . . It's a Stock Pot or electric pot. . . whatever you want to call it. I've made chicken stock in it, and filled it just about to the top with great results. I've made other soups, which don't need to really use the "pressure cooker" and they have turned-out great. Due to the fact that you can sear meat in it, that's wonderful. . .You can saute. . . you can simmer. . . With three different temperature settings, you can really cook lots of things inside. I made hot & sour soup today, which was fantastic! (no pressure cooking needed) I also like that it's non-stick, and you can easily remove the insert.I've also made chili, which turned-out really well. I cooked a whole chicken, and that also was great. I purchased a pressure cooker cookbook, just to get some more ideas. There certainly are "better" / "easier" ways to cook things other than using a pressure cooker, all depending upon the item. For example, I still prefer to use a steamer for veggies. But I think I'm going to get a lot more use out of this than I originally expected,

45 STAR COOKER AND 0 STAR MANUALSo
By Al Zam
Let me start by saying I was ready to return it ( Costco), but i finally figured it out!!!!I was ready to quit and spent over 3 hrs on a recipe. I did not want to give up and had a perfect quinoa earlier.1. make sure the metal plate with the seal on the lid is on the correct way. The metal pin has to be on the opposite side of the pressure valve - in line with it. there is a small picture in the manual.2. Make sure you have enough liquid. I had problems only when trying Mediterranean brisket ( steam escaped through red valve) and trying to cook rolled oats. Rolled oats did not build any pressure because by the time water boiled - there was no water only oats.If you are having troubles with it - test it with water. Fill it to 4 cup line, set it for 1 minute or more and see if the pressure builds.
