Our Merv 8 filter eliminates allergens such as dust, pollen, mold spores, and pet dander. Our advanced pleat technology provides less air flow resistance, with higher efficiency. Our Merv 8 standard capacity pleated filters are offered in ASHRAE 52.1 and 52.2 (MERV) ratings and are built to withstand rigorous conditions. Clear The Air's Aprilaire 'Space-Gard" Merv 8 filters are available in 2 sizes to replace SpaceGard models 2200 / 2250 / 2250. Please see the technical specs of you are unsure of the size you need Clear The Air replacement Aprilaire filters are electrostatically charged 100% synthetic graduated density media is continuously bonded to a 30 gauge galvanized, corrosion resistant, expanded metal support grid with an effective open area of 96%. The media is resistant to a wide range of chemicals, does not absorb moisture and will not support microbial growth. The controlled pleat spacing maximizes surface area and dust holding capacity and is bonded to the enclosure frame to prevent dust bypass. The enclosure frame is constructed of high wet strength moisture resistant beverage board. The diagonal support members of the frame are bonded to the entering and exiting apexes of each pleat to prevent pleat collapse and filter bowing. *These filters are not manufacturered by Aprilaire but perform at or above the original OEM performance specification.

Filters at a reasonable price, mailed to your door

I replaced the accordian type filters with these sturdy boxed filters for easy replacement. I think they work slightly better as well, but I can't be certain. If you ever replaced the original filters, that needed to be fed through plastic teeth.
