Great rack.

We even stuck two heavy ass cruisers on these and they did fine. I'm not in love with the rear mount for an elliptical cross bar. The top of the mount is curved (on the new revision of the mount) but the bottom is a straight piece of metal plate with minimally contacts the crossbar and scratches the car's crossbar it as it is unprotected. It also allows for about 1/8 of play where the new attachment point slides into the track on the bottom of the rack, which the old one didn't.Great rack and we have bought more, but they need to figure out the rear attachment point before I can do 5 stars.

bad design of new rear mount of tie rod

Great if not for the rear mount that attaches to factory bars. Rear attachment piece has a insert to the track of the tray.The two bolts that hold and sandwitch the factory bar is 2 inches Away from the track attachment point...this makes the tray slightly move and twist ...once loaded you can hear this going over rough roads and when taking turns. I called rockeymounts a d they said they sold 20000 of them nobody co.planned...put a piece of rubber if it .makes notice....this bracket or track may fail

Great rack...fit my subaru oem bars with ease and holds the bike tight. Wish i would have found this sooner instead of wasting money on yakima and thule adapter junk. Love the concept..just need a thru axle model now.
